EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES TO TACKLE CANCER
Among the numerous milestones achieved by the scientific community, early cancer detection and treatment stand at the forefront. In 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported 19.3 million new cancer cases. Against that background, numerous startups have emerged, providing both scientific advancements and emotional support to patients facing this challenging diagnosis.
UK-based Grey Wolf Therapeutics is a drug discovery biotechnology company focused on immuno-oncology. Their approach targets the enzymes that play a critical role in the immune system's antigen presentation pathway. By inhibiting these enzymes, the firm aims to develop treatments for a wide range of diseases, including autoimmune disorders, cancer, and infectious diseases.
French startup Resilience harnesses the power of digital solutions to improve remote patient monitoring for cancer patients. Their platform provides a comprehensive virtual space where patients can connect with specialists from all over the world alongside collecting personal data. It also offers educational resources such as articles, podcasts and videos to help them understand and adhere to their treatment.
